The "Living Library" is a unique initiative that allows to learn personal stories of people socially excluded due to their disabilities, views or origin. Meetings with such people (or "living books") allow to look critically at your life and see a normal person in someone "different".
In Wrocław, in the bank's headquarters, Credit Agricole and EFL employees could meet, among others, a person in a wheelchair, a non-binary person, a person with facial tattoos, an atheist or an eco-activist. A day later, in Warsaw, the bank co-created an open Living Library in which everyone could take part. In total, over 150 people took part in both meetings with "live books".
– Each of the "books" of the Living Library talked about its unique, often difficult road to the place where it is now. Although we hear their stories when we participate in meetings with "books", at the same time they often reflect the situation of our loved ones or colleagues. In this way we build understanding and acceptance for differences around us," says Przemysław Przybylski, Corporate Communications Director at Credit Agricole Bank Polska.
